US spooks put together a dossier indicating that MH370 was deliberately taken off course and may have been crashed on purpose, it has been reported.
ABC news, citing a source with knowledge of the matter, said the assessment - made months ago to judge what most likely happened to the plane - which disappeared in March 2014, also said that the Boeing 777 was also potentially deliberately downed, the source said.
The source said the assessment was built on information that intelligence officials received about other nations' investigation in the doomed plane.
But he said the assessment "doesn't matter" as foreign investigators "are the ones who ultimately will make the conclusion".
